Walk begins in the Blue Mountains on Faulconbridge Railway Station platform meeting there at 10.35am Mon to Frid but 10.45am on weekends and public holidays including Christmas day till New Years day. N.B. toilets at Station are locked (please use train). Can be back in Katoomba by 5.20 pm or Sydney by 6.20 pm HOW? BY RAIL – N.B. Our trains stop only briefly at Faulconbridge so be at the door ready to get off. FROM SYDNEY- Easy 1 hr 20min train trip. 1.Go to the Country platform area of Central Station 2.Buy $12 pp off peak return fare to Faulconbridge N.B.This fare only available from person in booth (not from machine) after 8.10am 3.Take the Lithgow train departing 9.09 am mid week (arrive 10.34am) but the Mt Victoria train departing 9.18 am on weekends and public holidays (arrive 10.44am) and get off at Faulconbridge Station. N.B. If by the very rare chance track work is on please take the Bus that is shown to you and we will wait the extra time for you to arrive. FROM KATOOMBA- Easy ½ hr train trip 1. Buy $7 off peak return fare to Faulconbridge Station 2. Take 9.19 am Sydney train (arrive 9.55am) Mon to Frid but 9.55am on weekends or Public Holidays (arrive 10.30am) and get off at Faulconbridge Station BY CAR Turn off Great Western Highway opposite Faulconbridge Station into Railway Pde for free parking area. Walk across pedestrian bridge to Station. WHAT TO BRING day pack lunch water at least 1.5 litres (60 ounces) summer 1litre (40 ounces) winter rain jacket Swimmers (optional bathe in a shallow rock pool) warm vest (winter) sun block & hat camera personal medications toilet tissue rubbish bag Bring only the minimum you need for the day (no lockers available) Wear shoes with good grip & clothes you don’t mind getting dirty (shorts and t-shirt Oct to May) CONDITIONS Aboriginal tour in the Blue Mountains but not a tour of the Blue Mountains 7 years or over.
